  • How Long Does It Take To Dry?
Lanoguard reaches its final state around 7 to 10 days after application. Day 0 it is oily, which by day 3 has become soft, and the final state is dry to the touch, but you know something is there. It dries to a candle-like texture offering protection from the off. Lanoguard protects, waterproofs and repels water instantly, and leaves a translucent, matte finish.
  • Can It Be Applied To Bodywork?
If you have rust and corrosion on your bodywork or other painted panels, it's strongly recommended to have that repaired professionally. Ceramic coatings are a better choice when it comes to protecting your paintwork. We specialise in these, so please ask us if you'd like your paintwork protected too. Lanoguard can however be applied to tow bars, T-bars and any other metal framework fitted to your vehicle. If you're unsure what Lanoguard is best suited for, please get in contact and we'll gladly assist you.
  • What's Protected When Installing Lanoguard?
We aim to protect the entire underbody, where accessible. By removing arch liners and undertrays, it gains us more exposure. Lanoguard Grease is applied to weld seams, nuts, bolts, sharp edges, mating surfaces & highly exposed areas. This offers maximum protection for the more vulnerable areas Lanoguard Spray is then applied to the entire underbody, and we then use Internal injection to apply Lanoguard into box sections, sills, subframes, slam panels & chassis components. The only areas we won't install Lanoguard to brake discs, pads and callipers, and also engine auxiliary/fan belts as stated by Lanoguard. Lanoguard can be applied to the exhaust system - this may produce a smell for a few days after application, but is totally normal and will disappear quickly. Lanoguards technical specifications - taken directly from Lanoguard: Natural and much, much longer lasting Salt, Acid and Alkaline resistant Hermetically seals the surface (so oxidation can’t occur (so rust can’t form nor continue)) Waterproof (instantly waterproof anything) Jet wash resistant to 3000 psi or 200 bar (won't be displaced and will keep protecting after cleaning) Petroleum resistant (so petrol or diesel spillage or leakage wont displace it nor mix with it) Non-conductive to 70,000 volts (use on all electrics and circuit boards) Prevents electrolysis (no more seized nuts and bolts or outboard motor legs!) Non-evaporative (won't dry out like normal grease leaving un-lubricated or protected parts) Heat resistant to 450 degrees Celsius Adheres to all surfaces Non-leaching (won't spread to other adjoining surfaces and material) Non perishing (safe to use on all rubbers etc) Lubricating (amazingly low friction co-efficients) Very low friction coefficient Ecologically sound (can be used safely in marine environments) Our greases are Non-petroleum based
  • How Long Does It Take To Complete?
This service will take 2 days to complete. We require the vehicle to be dropped to us for 9am, and it will be ready to collect at 5:30pm the following day. We typically get the installation done in one day, and allow for an additional day to start the curing process (Lanoguard recommends 24 hours), in this time we carry out the finishing touches and get the car ready to return to use. We follow a strict and comprehensive process, with multiple quality control checks throughout this service to ensure our work is always of a very high standard, and to give your underbody protection the best possible performance from the off. Please note - this service does not include any interior cleaning, this will be discussed with you upon enquiry or drop off and may increase the service time.
  • Do You Remove Undertrays And Arch Liners?
Yes, we'll aim to remove any wheel arch liners, undertrays and mud flaps to gain as much access to the underbody as possible. If in the event that bolts and clips are stubborn and seized, we'll leave them as they are and work around them. If anything is missing, we'll make a note and let you know upon collection. The same applies to spare wheels that are stowed underneath the body. We'll also take great care not to disconnect any wiring or sensors, but will cover them during the preparation stage to ensure no water ingress.
  • How Do I Care For My Underbody Protection?
Caring for your underbody is actually quite simple. Lanoguard is designed to work with very little maintenance. However, if your underbody gets relatively dirty, from off-roading for example, a thorough rinse with a cold pressure washer is all that is required. It's not recommended to use hot washes or steam with regular maintenance cleans. Lanoguard recommends an annual top up & inspection. This will allow us to clean your underbody, and top up both the grease and spray elements that the protection consists of.
  • Can Lanoguard Be Applied To Other Vehicles?
Yes! We can apply Lanoguard to vans, motorcycles, boats, trailers, and also industrial equipment such as generators and pumps. Lanoguard is the perfect solution to 3.5 ton truck and tipper chassis, and also boat and motorcycle trailers. It can also be applied to horseboxes, caravans and motorhomes. Simply give us a call to discuss protecting vehicles which aren't cars before booking.
  • How Long Does Lanoguard Last?
Lanoguard will last well over 12 months, but as an approved installer, we offer Lanoguard's recommended 1-2-3 treatment model. This includes an initially heavy application, followed by annual inspections & top ups, giving you full coverage protection protection, and peace of mind for the happy miles ahead of it. This will be discussed with you upon completion, and we'll send you a friendly reminder a month before your top up is due.

We'll include information on how to remove these safely in the aftercare package you will receive upon completion.

  • Do You Remove Mould or Paint Spills?
Yes - however mould and/or removal requires specialist PPE and products, therefore isn't included in our 3 valeting packages above. Mould and paint often spreads to areas below the surface, and often in areas that are hidden from view (under seats or in between plastic trim panels for example) and also the source of the mould needs to be rectified (usually from a leaking door/window/sunroof seal or spilt fluids). These type of services will require inspection prior to booking, this is to determine the best plan of action, and to also calculate an estimated price. • Which Valet Do I Need?
Picking the perfect valet for you can often be confusing, especially if you're new to the world of car detailing and valeting. We've structured our valeting services to make selecting the perfect service easier. Entry Valet - Perfect for those clients new to us, or those who do not have regular valets such as our Maintenance Valet. This service is aimed at vehicles which are in a fairly good condition (new cars, or cars that are usually well kept) and is the minimum requirement to join our Maintenance Plan. Full Valet - Our flagship Full Valet is a full interior deep clean to remove stains from carpets and seats, deep clean plastics and leather, and offers a detailed exterior wash to completely rejuvenate your cars exterior and interior. It's the perfect refresh for cars that haven't been cleaned for a few months and are in need of some TLC. Our Full Valet is our most popular valet service. Full Valet Plus - This includes everything our Full Valet does, but with the addition of an engine bay detail too. We only use safe engine bay cleaning methods, typically with a steam cleaner. We also cover any electrical connectors and batteries to ensure no water causes harm - modern engines are very well insulated and can be cleaned with the correct methods and experience. The Full Valet Plus is popular amongst cars that are being sold, or returned to lease. It also makes for that perfect refresh for 'new to you' cars, or for cars that just need a very good clean.
  • Do You Charge Extra For Pet Hair Or Heavily Soiled Cars?

Cars or vans that have been used for building work, or to transport pets frequently for example, often have ingrained and embedded dirt which takes longer to remove. Pet hair can often intertwine with the fabric strands that make up your cars carpets and seats and also take longer to remove safely without damaging the materials of your cars interior. Please get in contact directly if you're concerned your car may take longer due to the above and a member of our team will gladly assess your car and assist you.

Kingswinford, Hagley, Himley, Halesowen, Bromsgrove, Clent, Dudley, Rowley Regis, Walsall, Birmingham and Wolverhampton are a few areas our mobile team visit frequently. We carry water on our van, but we do require access to power. All our mobile services must be carried out on a driveway or other suitable areas. We unfortunately cannot clean cars that are parked on the road due to health & safety, and insurance purposes.
  • My Preferred Booking Time Isn't Available Online
Not to worry! Sometimes we blank out timeslots to allow for extra travel times, or to prevent double booking our team members. We also restrict start times to 9am & 1:30pm. We do aim to cater for earlier or later start times where possible, please give us a call and we'll gladly check our diary for you to see if we can accommodate your needs.
